Customer Support Specialist (remote, Australia)

Permanent, full-time, 38 hours per week. Reports to a Customer Support Team Lead.

Role overview

You are the first point of contact for our Australian customers. You take ownership of each enquiry, resolve it accurately and leave the customer confident in our service. The role is fully remote and worked from your home within Australia.

Daily responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries by email, live chat and phone within agreed service levels.
  • Investigate account, billing and product questions using our internal systems.
  • Record accurate case notes and escalate complex matters to the right team.
  • Follow up on open cases until the customer has a clear outcome.
  • Contribute improvements to help articles and internal knowledge guides.

Required communication skills

  • Clear written English with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • A calm, courteous phone manner and active listening.
  • Ability to explain technical steps in plain language.
  • Patience and empathy when customers are frustrated.

Customer service experience (preferred)

Previous experience in contact centre, retail, hospitality or service desk work is well regarded, but not essential. We provide full paid training, and we welcome applicants changing careers.

Authorisation to work in Australia (mandatory)

You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold a visa with unlimited work rights in Australia, and be residing in Australia. Work rights are confirmed through the Australian Government VEVO service.

Availability requirements

Our support hours are 7:00 am to 9:00 pm AEST, Monday to Saturday. You will be rostered 38 hours per week across that window, with your roster published at least two weeks in advance. Occasional Saturday shifts are shared across the team.

Salary and working conditions

AUD 91,000 per year plus superannuation, paid monthly. Employment is permanent full-time under the National Employment Standards, including paid annual leave and personal/carer's leave, with a six-month probation period.

Equipment and remote work expectations

We supply a laptop and headset. You provide a quiet, private workspace and a broadband connection with a minimum 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Company equipment is used for work purposes only and returned if your employment ends.
